No Dell is not s!@t, acer is s!@t, cheap ass build quality, ugly looking laptops (aspire series) out of which the heavier notebooks are BIG and Bulky....Dell is the best i terms of quality and use followed by HP, Compaq etc..

Dells are AWFUL!!! I have 3 and the power cords have been replaced twice on 2 of them once on the other, the plug to connect the power cord to breaks easily and one totally fell out. They are slow and when typing you have to constantly watch what your doing as the curser jumps to a total different part of the page every time. VERY annoying!!!! I know a handful of people that have great things to say about the Acer and love it. I am definatly purchasing an Acer next!
