ati certainly is a bit s!@te.
every day i get a notice in windows saying that my graphics accelerator has stopped responding and the screen freezes up. f@#@ing annoying!

I have a Radeon 3870, no problems so far, but OpenGL drivers perform worse than on Nvidia, and it doesn't clock massively (+10 Mhz or so with official biosflash). Still, 860 Mhz is a fair clock for a three year old GPU.
