This is rubbish. I dont know what the above ranks or ratings are based on - consumer survey, market presence or anything else.
I am a Haier split air conditioner as well as Lg and Samsung customer.
For starters, many people tend to think of Haier as a German or American or even Korean brand.
But the fact is it is wholly Chinese group with technology and production there.Yes, no doubt they are able to provide better prices than samsung or Lg but that should not be the criteria to rate.
Anyways you end up spending more on maintenance as the company charges are too much and non durability starts to show in a short period.
Yes, Lg also has problems in durability and can require expense on service but in product categories like air conditioners Samsung or even Onida are far better options than Haier. Atleast the korean giants have some reputaion to live upto unlike The chinese Haier who just wants to build up on market share. If you are are looking to spend a bit more than go for products from Hitachi in any category or Carrier and be assured of lifelong quality with least maintenance expense or headache.

Especially when the history of the brand is unknown coupled with the non durable Chinese production employed.
Atleast the korean Giants Samsung and LG have some reputation to live upto so paying just a little extra to get them is the wiser thing to do.
And yes, Hitachi ofcourse is class quality but for some extra cost.
