how can you compare utorrent and vlc?

I'd actually like to see a side-by-side detailing little things like size on disk, cpu and ram consumption, file support, features, ect.
I don't like sites that blindly state 'x is better than y' for the simple fact that I might not want a 1.2 gb program that plays Sweet Home Alabama on start-up when all I need is something that downloads torrents.
